Les Giraudieres, my village in Champniers

When I put my nose on something, I'll do lots of  research from internet to many kind of litterature. I'm now keen of ancient houses and castles, since  I work for a big castle in Charente. My curiousity drove me to one bookstore and  found a heavy encyclopedia of Castles in France. The price is too expensive for me, so I sneak inside to see if there is strory about the castle I work, which in fact the book contents of 6 pages about the castle La Rochefoucauld. Still by curiousity, I looked for the ones in Champniers (my commune) and I couldn't believe my eyes I fell on a page about one territory of my villages and  I see a photo that is so familiar to me. The wall that I see everyday from my desk while I'm doing internet !!! I took a sneak pic of the page & see the result above...

The translation from the Chateau de France, Encyclopedia :

Today Les Giraudieres  has 15 families, a lot of ancien Charentaise House made of stones and several modern pavillions. Mostly people live in this village are working for agriculture. They owned hectares land of grapes and wheat. The oldest person is this village, Mme. Deloriere, retired farmer, is 103 years old, still in good health and very active. We have one old water tower, one lavoir (ancien laundry area) divided into two pools & surrounded by stone walls.
