Accra de Morue (Cod Fish Cake)


300 gram salted cod fish, desalted for one night inside a bowl of water, change the water regularly

300 gram flour

2 glass of hot water

1/2 pack of bread yeast

1 teaspoon chilli paste

1 onion, chopped

2 garlic

thyme, parsley, chives chopped

1 juice of green lime

2 eggs yolk batter

white pepper

salt if needed, usually salted cod needs no salt

How to make :

  1. Boil the fish inside boiling water for 8 minutes
  2. Smash with fork, add the spices
  3. Put the flour inside the mixture, egg yolk  
  4. Then put one glass of water and one tablespoon of olive oil, add the yeast, mix very fast
  5. If needed pour more water or battered white egg
  6. Fry inside 4 tablespoon of hot oil
  7. Use 2 teaspoon, one to pick up the mixture and another one to push the mixture inside the heated oil
